James “L.J./Jim” Lewis Sluder, Jr., 74, of Sandston, VA, was freed of his pain on August 29, 2024. L.J. was born to Bessie and James L. Sluder, Sr. on May 1, 1950, in Richmond, VA. L.J. dedicated upwards of five decades to being a truck driver all across the US. He was very proud of his career and retired from R&L Carriers. Jim was someone who would give the shirt off of his back to help people and was very protective of those he loved. His hobbies were bass fishing, NASCAR, hot rods, and Harleys.
