Henrico supervisors approve subsidized housing project in Eastern Henrico, $27 million in other projects
The Henrico Board of Supervisors approved a 5,000 grant in support of an affordable housing project in Eastern Henrico at its most recent meeting Aug. 27. Project:HOMES, a Richmond-based nonprofit, will buy 5910 and 5920 Nine Mile Road in the Varina District and build a subdivision of at least 22 affordable homes there. The homes will be limited to qualified purchasers who make no more than 120% of the median income for the Richmond area (currently ,988, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.)
