McClellan visits RIC to celebrate $500k in funding for cargo facilities, runway projects
U.S. Rep. Jennifer McClellan (D-VA-04) visited Richmond International Airport Aug. 26 to celebrate 0,000 in funding that she helped provide the airport through Congress' Community Project Funding Program. The funding will be used for an "apron" project to relocate and consolidate two general aviation operations areas on the airfield. The East Side Apron 5 project is expected to allow for the expansion of cargo facilities and the construction of a second parallel runway.
