Henricus Historical Park to host living history event Aug. 17

Henricus Historical Park in Chesterfield County will give visitors a glimpse of what life was like for members of the 124th New York Infantry in the summer of 1864, during a living history event Saturday, Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. That summer, Union Army regiments under Gen. Benjamin Butler occupied the Dutch Gap Canal and Bermuda Hundred in present-day Chesterfield County.
