Virginia's sales tax holiday is Aug. 2-4

Virginians will be able to take advantage of the state's upcoming sales tax holiday on clothes, school supplies, and hurricane preparedness items, beginning this Friday, Aug. 2 and running through Aug. 4. The event is designed as a chance for families to stock up on necessary supplies ahead of the new school year and during the current hurricane season. In addition, some retailers are paying the sales tax on other non-eligible items during the three-day period, as well.
