Virginia's unemployment rate unchanged at 2.7% in June

Virginia’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained unchanged at 2.7 percent in June, according to data released on this week by Virginia Works, the state’s Department of Workforce Development and Advancement. The rate was 0.1% higher than the rate one year ago. The data shows the number of unemployed residents in June decreased by 2,369 to 122,395, while the number of employed residents decreased by 1,786 to about 4.45 million.
