Food Lion launches 'Summer Without Hunger' program to benefit childhood food insecurity

Food Lion has launched its "Summers Without Hunger" initiative, designed to combat childhood food insecurity by increasing access to nutritious food all summer. The campaign encourages customers to purchase a specially designed reusable bag for , money that will benefit Feeding America (the nation's largest domestic hunger relief program) and local food banks throughout the 10 states in which Food Lion operates.
