RIC opens service animal relief areas, joins 'Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program'

Richmond International Airport has expanded its efforts to make travel more comfortable for travelers and their pets. The airport announced recently that it has opened two temporary service animal relief areas for pets in the concourses near gates A8 and B1. These new SARAs join the existing outdoor pet relief areas located between the parking garages and the terminal. The Richmond SPCA, the Humane Society, and Gresham Smith are teaming up to help the airport create permanent SARAs.
