First statewide virtual free mental health clinic launches
The Virginia Telemental Health Initiative has become the first statewide virtual free mental health clinic, following a pilot phase. Through this initiative, eligible uninsured or under-insured Virginians now can access mental health services through a virtual platform. The program is operated under the leadership of the Virginia Telehealth Network in partnership with the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, the Virginia Association of Free and Charitable Clinics, the University of Virginia Karen S.
